Janet Westlund, LICSW
Feeling stuck or lost in your own story? Wondering how to make changes that will improve your well-being? Finding the right therapist can be challenging. I'm here to honor where you’re at in your journey and partner with you as you decide what your next steps are. My goal is to ensure that you feel truly heard and understood.
Relationships are a vehicle for change. My approach is based on holding space for us to show up authentically, building a strong relationship, and asking the right questions to guide our work together. I bring a warm, non-judgmental, creative, practical, and curious spirit to our work.
I have a master’s in clinical social work as well as post-graduate training in trauma studies and EMDR. Over the past 15 years I've had the privilege of working with folks as they’ve moved towards healing from things such as grief, trauma, attachment, spiritual abuse, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and substance use. I take an eclectic approach and use a variety of therapeutic approaches such as motivational interviewing, ACT, CBT, DBT, and EMDR.
I offer both in-person and virtual appointments in Minnesota, as well as virtual appointments in Missouri.
In my free time I enjoy spending time in nature, being with loved ones, crafting, and reading.
Janet is currently accepting new in person and tele-health clients through Spring Health EAP at this time.
Janet is an independent contractor with RWC and operates as a separate entity. While providing services through our practice, Janet retains full professional responsibility for clients and clinical work.
