Every Sunday Evening at 5:30pm Yoga For Anxiety
Calm Your Mind. Reconnect With Your Body.
Anxiety affects both the mind and body. Racing thoughts, muscle tension, shallow breathing, and feeling constantly "on edge" can make it difficult to fully enjoy life.
Yoga for Anxiety is designed to help calm the nervous system through gentle movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and deep relaxation.
This class is instructed by Talia Singer, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), and Certified Sound Healer. Talia combines her clinical expertise with yoga and sound healing to create a supportive, trauma-informed experience that promotes emotional well-being.
The Mind-Body Connection
Anxiety is not simply "in your head."
When we experience chronic stress or anxiety, our nervous system can become stuck in a heightened state of alert, making it difficult to relax, think clearly, or feel present.
Yoga offers a powerful way to interrupt this cycle.
Research has shown that yoga may help:
Reduce symptoms of anxiety and chronic stress
Improve emotional regulation
Lower heart rate and blood pressure
Increase mindfulness and present-moment awareness
Improve sleep quality
Reduce muscle tension
Enhance resilience to stress
Support overall mental and physical wellness
By intentionally combining movement, breathing, and mindfulness, yoga creates opportunities for your nervous system to experience safety, allowing your body to move from "fight or flight" into a more regulated state.
What You Can Expect
Each class is thoughtfully structured to help regulate the nervous system and reduce symptoms of anxiety through practices such as:
Gentle, accessible yoga postures
Breathwork (pranayama) to reduce stress and improve emotional regulation
Mindfulness and guided meditation
Nervous system regulation techniques
Grounding exercises for moments of overwhelm
Restorative yoga and deep relaxation
Sound healing using crystal singing bowls and therapeutic instruments
Psychoeducation about how anxiety affects the brain and body
Rather than focusing on flexibility or physical performance, our emphasis is on cultivating awareness, resilience, and inner calm.
Sound Healing for Deep Relaxation
Many Yoga for Anxiety sessions conclude with a sound healing experience.
Using crystal singing bowls and other therapeutic instruments, participants are invited into a period of deep relaxation while allowing soothing vibrations to support rest, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation.
Many participants describe leaving class feeling:
More grounded
Less overwhelmed
Mentally clearer
Physically relaxed
Better able to manage everyday stress
No prior experience with sound healing is necessary.
A Safe, Supportive Space
These classes are taught using a trauma-informed approach that emphasizes choice, compassion, and self-awareness. There is no pressure to perform—only an invitation to move, breathe, and care for yourself at your own pace.
